Parking automation and digitisation

Automating and digitising your car park, from barrier to report

Many car parks still run on paper, remotes and a person at the gate. ParkingVic replaces the manual steps with an automatic system: the camera reads the plate, the software decides access, payment happens by phone or at a pay station, and every pass lands in an online report. Staff only deal with exceptions.

What a non-digital car park looks like

  • Manual work on every pass

Someone opens the barrier, writes down plates, issues tickets or takes payment, shift after shift.

  • Data you can't see

Occupancy, revenue and history sit in notebooks or separate files, so decisions are based on guesses.

  • Equipment that doesn't talk

Camera, barrier and till each work on their own, with no shared rules and no single log.

What ParkingVic automates

  • Automatic barrier with plate recognition

ANPR cameras read the plate on entry and exit, and the barrier opens only for cars that are allowed in.

  • Access without cards or remotes

Access is tied to the license plate. There are no devices to hand out, lose or clone.

  • Cashless, cashier-free payments

Tariffs are calculated automatically and paid by QR on a phone, at a pay station or by POS, with automatic exit once paid.

  • Self-service visitors

Residents, staff or reception grant temporary access from a phone, with automatic expiry, without calling anyone.

  • Online reports and log

Passes, occupancy, revenue and manual actions, available anytime in the browser and exportable to CSV.

  • Works with what you have

Where possible we reuse existing cameras and barriers, and connect parking to other building systems via API.

From a manual car park to an automatic one

  1. 1We review the current flow and the equipment at each gate.
  2. 2We install or connect ANPR cameras and automate the barrier.
  3. 3We move records into the app and train the team for exceptions.

FAQ

Do we have to replace all our equipment?

Not necessarily. During the assessment we check which cameras and barriers can be reused and what is needed for automation.

Do we still need staff at the car park?

Access and payment are automatic. Staff remain for exceptions, which they handle from the console, including remotely.

Where is the data stored?

The platform runs in the cloud or on your own server, depending on your data protection requirements.

How long does it take to digitise a car park?

It depends on the number of gates and the existing equipment. You get a concrete timeline after the site assessment.

Tell us how many sites, gates and spaces you manage. We'll send your quote and the full presentation.
